After a few disappointing experiences booking through Fishbooker, we finally found a trip that exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, everything was handled professionally, and the fishing was outstanding. The captain worked hard to keep us on fish, made sure everyone was having a great time, and delivered the kind of experience we had been hoping for all along. It was refreshing to spend the day with a guide who was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely committed to helping us succeed. We caught fish, learned a lot, and made some great memories on the water. This trip reminded us why we love fishing, and we would not hesitate to book again.

We had a wonderful time fishing with Captain Rogers. He was fantastic with the kids, keeping them engaged, helping them every step of the way, and making sure they had a great experience on the water. His patience, friendly personality, and dedication made the trip enjoyable for everyone in our group. We truly appreciated how well he worked with the children and helped create lasting memories for our family. I highly recommend Captain Rogers and would gladly fish with him again.

Thank you, Bill, for an awesome day on the water. My friend and I had a great time and learned a lot while putting fish in the boat. We picked up new tips, asked plenty of questions, and still managed to catch a solid mix throughout the trip. Appreciate the patience and guidance. Communication before the trip was excellent, and once we stepped aboard, Captain Bill delivered an outstanding day of fishing. He knows these waters inside and out and consistently put us on fish throughout the trip. Our group had a wide range of fishing experience, but Captain Bill made sure everyone had opportunities to catch fish and enjoy the day. He was patient, accommodating, and adjusted his approach to fit each angler’s needs and skill level. What sets Captain Bill apart is his knowledge, professionalism, and ability to adapt to changing conditions while keeping the action going. We couldn’t get to a few spots because of the weather, but we still caught fish and made the most of the day. Bill kept us informed, adjusted plans when needed, and gave us a better feel for Marion, SC along the way. Learned a few new tricks too. Overall, a solid outing despite the conditions.

My son and I had a fantastic time with Captain Bill. He’s an excellent guide and made the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. We went out hoping to learn something new, and he delivered. Bill took the time to show us how to use a baitcaster, including the basics of holding, casting, and adjusting the reel. He also walked us through simple, practical fishing techniques that will help us long after the trip ended. Beyond the fishing, it was great getting to know him. The conversation was easy, fun, and genuine. We also want to thank him for his years of service protecting his community. That kind of dedication says a lot about a person. We’re already looking forward to booking another trip when we come back to visit our son. Thanks again, Bill. We’ll see you next time.

This trip was exactly what I was looking for. It had been a long time since I’d gone fishing, and with so many changes in gear and approach, I knew I needed a solid reset. Captain Bill delivered that and more. Before we hit the water, he walked me through a clear game plan, starting with the basics: why fish behave the way they do, the core biology behind their feeding habits, and how to present bait that actually looks like what they eat. He even sent me home with notes, tips, and a practical plan to use on future trips, which I genuinely appreciated. We worked through all three layers of the water column. On the surface, we used topwater setups like frogs and walking baits, including some fun pop and walk presentations. Moving into the mid-column, we switched over to chatter baits, swim jigs, and spinners, dialing in retrieves and pacing. On the bottom layer, we wrapped up with Texas-rigged soft plastics and wacky worm presentations, focusing on control, structure, and bite detection. I’m sharing all of this here because it made that much of an impression. It was the kind of day that sticks with you, the kind that reminds you why fishing is such a pull in the first place. Overall, it was an outstanding day on the water. Great communication, real instruction, and a patient guide who clearly knows the fishery. I’d recommend Captain Bill without hesitation to anyone looking for a freshwater fishing guide or a well-run day with someone who genuinely wants you to get better and catch fish. I’ll definitely be back.

We had a great time fishing with Bill. Since it was our first visit to the lake, we weren’t sure what to expect, but he made it easy. Bill clearly knows the water, the fish patterns, and how to plan around them. He walked us through what was biting, where to find them, and even shared his favorite spots so we could keep the momentum going after our trip ended. That advice alone helped us enjoy the rest of our week. If you’re new to the lake or just want someone who understands seasonal bite windows and how fish move on freshwater reservoirs, Bill’s your guy. We’d recommend him without hesitation and look forward to booking again.

Had a wonderful time with Captain Bill. Started out the day targeting red fish feeding on bait. We then moved out for some bottom fishing on structure. Captain Bill's very familiar with the water and the areas we were fishing. We caught several fish of different species. Hit a few other spots up to 12 miles out. We ended up with perfect weather despite a hurricane right of the coast. This was my daughters first time fishing offshore and we couldn’t have ask for more of a pleasant time. Thank you again Captain Bill! We highly recommend this Fishin’ Adventure.

We had a blast! We took our 2,4 and 8 year old. We stayed more near shore to make sure they could handle it. Captain Bill was amazing with my kids, down to earth and easy going. He made sure they were comfortable with being on the boat, the boat was very nice. We will be doing this again soon and hopefully go further out now that we know they can adapt to the waves. Thank you Captain Bill!! See you again soon.
